Favorite Friday- Painted Earth Skincare

I heard about Painted Earth from my friend Courtney at the Life.Styled. Blog.  Don't worry, I'll be doing a fun post with her very soon ;)  Anyways, she was telling me about this organic makeup line she's been using, and her skin looks fantastic, so I wanted to know more ASAP.  She took me to Painted Earth Skin Care and I fell in love.  Head over heels, let's get married tomorrow in love.  First, it's organic.  Second, it nourishes and brightens the skin.  Third, it smells too good to be true.  But most importantly, it really looks superb.  The before and after is shown above.  Huge difference right?  But it still looks natural and feels great.  Most importantly- I feel beautiful.
Painted Earth, Life.Styled. and I wanted to share these amazing products with you, so one lucky winner will win ALL pictured above!  Almost $200 retail value.
*Vitmain C Serum- this repairs your skin while brightening and enhancing that natural glow.
*Moulin Rouge Baked Mineral Blush- beautiful blush for every skin tone.
*Boo Boo Gel- my favorite product!  This heals your skin- cuts, blemishes, burns, and bites.  Because it is all natural you can even use it on your kids!
*Mint Lipgloss- Beautiful lip gloss that stays while also moisturizing.

Getting your skin to glow again
Alright it's time to talk about something not so pretty- pimples.  I had pretty fantastic skin through high school and college, despite my poor diet and way too many tanning sessions.  Then I had Hudson and BAM my face is breakout city.

I went to my dermatologist and she tried everything to clear it up to no avail.  Then I went to my gynecologist to see if it was hormonal.  That turned out to be a big factor (I had higher levels of testosterone) so she got me on a new birth control pill and it helped with the breakouts, but not entirely.  I was still getting pretty serious acne at least once a month!  UGH!  Then a friend introduced me to Painted Earth Skin Care and my skin has begun to glow again.  The above picture is a 1 week difference of using the below products:
Glowing Skin
Boo Boo Gel: This is what clears the breakouts, as well as heals cuts, abrasions, and even helped my husband with poison oak.  All around lifesaver and a must for every woman's purse.  The winner of my last Painted Earth giveaway messaged me and told me it had cleared her pregnancy acne right up as well.  Oh did I mention it's all-natural and completely safe for preggos?
Vitamin C Serum: This has helped my skin glow again.  You'll notice in the above picture that it's decreased the appearance of sun spots (DO NOT TAN) while evening out my skin tone.
Vitamin C Lotion: My favorite lotion I have ever used.  And that's saying a lot as I'm a face lotion junkie.  It hydrates while not being heavy or oily and my skin is baby booty soft.
I think bare skin is beautiful and I now have the confidence to show mine off.  I'm over here like "Hey everybody, come see how good my skin looks!"  And if you get that movie reference, we should be friends ;)

*A little about Painted Earth: Painted Earth is an all organic and natural skin care company that does not allow animal testing with any of it's products or even the ingredients for it's products.  If you're interested in this amazing company, you can find Painted Earth:
**There is going to be one heck of a Black Friday AND Cyber Monday sale, so make sure to check in on Insta and Facebook!!
***And if you live in Atlanta, come to the Christmas Party, I'll be there!***

How happy am I to come across Painted Earth skin care and cosmetics! I am blown away by all their formulations, but the line that I am focusing on in this review is their Vitamin C Care collection. I have been looking for a cleansing gel that brightens and protects by formulating with a stable form of highly concentrated Vitamin C – and the Optimum 15% Vitamin C cleanser is just the thing I was on the hunt for.  I use it for stage 2 of my cleansing process at night (stage 1 is where I use an emulsifying cleanser to dissolve makeup, oil and grime). It left my skin feeling incredibly clean, clear, and felt like it was well-prepped for my nightly serums – speaking of which, the 18% Vitamin C serum contains a stable form of Vitamin C along with a cocktail of other seriously pro-active ingredients, and if you want something even more potent, you can go for the 20% Vitamin C with Ferulic Acid serum, which is a great solution for mature and sun-damaged skin.
I recommend using the Vitamin C cleanser, and the serums morning and night. There is also a beautiful Eye Treatment in this line, which has a cool, gel texture.
The whole line is clean and free of  toxic chemicals and pore-clogging ingredients. If the other formulas are as good as the Vitamin C line, I can’t wait to try them!

Skin care this effective deserves a big smooch! It's the Painted Earth Skin Care Optimum 20% Vitamin C With Ferulic Acid Serum - it's worked wonders for my mid-30's skin!

Painted Earth Skin Care Optimum 20% Vitamin C With Ferulic Acid Serum Review

By Sheila Arkee
Why, you ask, am I smooching on this bottle of Painted Earth Skin Care Optimum 20% Vitamin C With Ferulic Acid Serum?

pe
Because it is really and truly one of the best skin care items I have used in recent times.
Painted Earth Skin Care 3
And I have come across a lot of skin care in the past few months. So much so that I took a little more time than usual with this review just to see how much I liked the results. I used this serum for 3 weeks, started using another (and more expensive serum) for 3 weeks, hated what that serum did for my skin, and went back to this wonder from Painted Earth Skin Care.
Painted Earth Skin Care 5
If you didn’t know, Painted Earth Skin Care is one of those niche beauty brand gems in the world of skin care and makeup. A small company based out of Georgia, I have loved all of their products I’ve ever used, like their amazingly moisturizing lipsticks. I appreciate the personalized care offered by Joanne, the owner of the company. Joanne is good people, and I really admire the love she puts behind her brand.
Painted Earth Skin Care 4
At $95, this is pricey, yes, but given my excellent A+ results, it’s worth every single penny. My skin is taut and plump and glowy in a way I didn’t think was possible at my age, which is 35. Breakouts? None! Considering the dermatological nightmare I experienced earlier this year, it’s quite amazing to see my skin looking so … clear!
Painted Earth Skin Care 7
Look, ma! No makeup!
This product contains 20% Vitamin C and Ferulic Acid that’s suspended in a concentrated base of pure vegan Hyaluronic Acid to plump skin cells.
Painted Earth Skin Care 6
Vitamin C has been shown in scientific studies to be effective in helping with the appearance of lines and wrinkles. Combined with the antioxidant Ferulic Acid and humectant benefits of Hyaluronic Acid, this is a powerful combination to improve the appearance of skin.
My Final Thoughts: After experiencing a few months of skin care issues, my skin is recovered and looking its best thanks in part to Painted Earth Skin Care Optimum 20% Vitamin C With Ferulic Acid Serum. I am in love with this serum and when I had a little spill last night, a streak of terror went right through my bones. It was sad times, but I did’t lose too much of the serum. Phew!

Painted Earth Mineral Silk Radiance Powder in Seychelles Review

 Press Sample (Unaffiliated Links)

Painted Earth is one of those very special companies that remains uncompromisingly devoted to making high quality luxury products that rival the quality of department store brands, but with a commitment to earth-friendly and human-friendly ingredients.

To say that the Painted Earth Mineral Silk Radiance Powder in Seychelles is gorgeous in the compact is a supreme understatement, but it is likewise stunning on the skin.
Subtle Luminosity. Sheer Perfection.  Painted Earth's Mineral Silk Radiance Powder illuminates and brightens the complexion in a single sweep. Micro-Minerals soften fine lines and imperfections and add a natural, healthy glow to skin. Formulated with Argan Oil to hydrate skin and help set foundation and blush. Rice Silk helps absorb excess shine and imparts a smooth, silky finish, while Multi-Mineral Complex and antioxidant Vitamin A, C and E help balance and protect skin from environmental aggressors.

Seychelles is one of the most silky smooth ultra finely milled highlighting powders that I have tried to date. The texture is so creamy and lovely to the touch that it effortlessly glides across the skin. It imparts the most beautiful ethereal glow imaginable, and lasts all day long on my combination skin. This floral masterpiece is made up of individual petals in pale pink, peach, and lavender leaning pink against a golden peach ground. The resultant color, when swirled together, is a delectable neutral pinky peach. Of course one can modify the color by picking up more pigment of a preferred shade, but the end result is always gorgeous. While this is intended as a highlighter, people with fair skin can also enjoy this treasure as an illuminating blush as well. Seychelles imparts a soft-focus glow that neither settles into pores, nor accentuates fine lines--thereby making it an immensely flattering powder on the skin. Unlike some highlighting powders that tend to employ far too much glitter, Seychelles remains sophisticated and understated with its otherworldly glow. In short, it is absolutely and positively stunning in every way!
Left to Right: All shades mixed followed by swatches of the individual colors.
 Ingredients:
Hypoallergenic. Talc and mineral oil free. Limited Edition

Overall assessment: Seychelles is so gorgeous that I am fairly certain that I will hit the pan this summer! A+
